Below are websites that have free and open source Mac software.
Much of it has a commercial quality and some is a work in progress. The learning curve is a little higher than commercial software but if you google the name of the program, you can usually find tutorials.

The Free Mac Classroom
http://web.mac.com/simon_elliott/iWeb/simon_elliott%40mac.com/Software.html

Open Source Mac
http://www.opensourcemac.org/

Software for Starving Students
http://softwarefor.org/

Free Open Source Software Mac User Group
http://www.freesmug.org/

Open Source Mac
http://nothickmanuals.info/doku.php?id=opensourcemac

National Center for Open Source and Education
http://www.ncose.org

A book on Free and Open Source Software can be downloaded from the URL below as a PDF:

http://www.osv.org.au/index.cgi?tid=155George Crawfordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04933708820125317427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3997838873455865285.post-48144921565616423192007-08-01T20:01:00.000-04:002007-08-01T20:01:00.000-04:00Around 5 of 8 here.
