Jim,

It breaks my heart that so little of Dr. Seymour Papert's vision of using computers as microworlds, mathlands and incubators for powerful ideas seem to be reflected in the discussion of what kids (and their teachers) in Maine appear to do with laptops.

Of course, I could be wrong. Perhaps all of this is happening in a stealth fashion and just not talked about in blogs, press accounts and conference presentations.
