Recently a new type of conference called
Constructing Modern Knowledge premiered in New Hampshire.
Sarah Sutter of
EduEyeView attended and gives an
excellent review of this novel experience. Iconoclast
Gary Stager was the organizer and promoter of this "hands-on" dive-right-in experience.

Thanks for linking, Jim! I'll be posting more soon about my learning at CMK08. It was truly a different kind of conference experience. Stager is definitely one-of-a-kind.
Thanks for the shout-out Jim and Sarah. I hope to see lots of Mainers at next year's event.
I'd love to be invited to Maine sometime soon. I spent several years working there prior to the laptops arriving. I even organized the program for the first 1:1 conference in Maine.
I'm not sure how iconoclastic or one-of-a-kind I am since I learned how to run an event like Constructing Modern Knowledge from my mentors. We all stand on the shoulders of giants.
I am grateful to the educators who chose to attend and to the great thinkers who made such an enormous contribution to my first Constructing Modern Knowledge Institute.
Lots of resources will become available over the next week or so at http://www.constructingmodernknowledge.com
All the very best,
Gary
