I am pretty comfortable with technology. I feel that I am a fast learner. I really want to learn more about programs and websites that will work with a Smartboard (as far as being interactive, etc). I have started a webpage through Word Press and would like to be able to explore that more, as well as Portaportal.
I am interested in how to use this technology to engage my students with special needs. They need to be active, and see the relevance of their learning.
I want to learn the hokey pokey (sp?)! No, I already do that. On a scale from 1-5, 5 being very comfortable with technology, I'm about a 3. I'd like to learn more and especially learn how to meet my students need in the classroom. I feel that using technology is fun for students and can really engage and focus them.
I am familiar with computers, word processing, internet groups, etc. I am not familiar with blogging or wikis. I have no idea what a Wiki is. So, I guess those are two areas to learn about. I am interested in learning anything that can help me with teaching the students in my room.
I am fairly comfortable- I don't mind trying anything with technology. I would like to learn how to make my own webpage, how to work better with spreadsheets, and also how to use imovie with my digital camera - although the laptop I have from school is a dinosaur, and all the administrative controls on it drive me nuts! So I do not think my school computer will work with imovie.
Well, I hope to learn all kinds of good stuff, though I can't say that I know just what right now! I'm anxious to get my very OWN laptop and try things out!!!!!
I am always open to learning anything new about technology. I have taken the time to explore and discover new things within the technology world myself but I have a lot more to learn. I hope to find new ways of implementing technology into my classroom curriculum.
I mainly use technology for email and web searches. In the classroom we use word processing and sometimes I ask students to search for various pieces of information concerning what we are doing in the classroom. We also create powerpoint presentations (I know they are called something else on these laptops, but they will always be powerpoint to me). I would like to learn how to access some different types of things that will engage reluctant students.
I want to know how to use the features of the smartboard to go beyond just screen projection. I consider myself to be above average when it comes to technology. I know how to use most of the ibook programs and many PC programs. I also feel that I know how to learn to use programs on my own. I am looking to get some tips on what I should spend my time learning and playing with because I know that there is way too much out there and way too little time.

looking forward to learning about the on-line resources associated with smartboards as well as how to incorporate the SB in my classroom

:)
I feel I know the very basics. I don't have the time (may I don't make the time) to spend hours learning new programs and/or researching new sites.
I would like to feel more comfortable just using the applications that I have on this ibook.
